First Trike a Delta - Way to unstable
I bought a used Sun Seeker's EZ, Never enjoyed the trike, never felt safe above about 8mph - most unstable. - I do not recommend. Tippy.
Second Trike an ELF - too wide for some bike trails
Nice trike - felt safe. If you do not have trails it could be a good solution.
Drawback 1 - when the battery is dead you are peddling a VERY heavy rig and it is no fun.
Drawback 2 - Many of the bike trails in my area do not comply with the federal rules on access and have placed the entry barriers too close together so the ELF would not fit
Drawback 3 - Ineffective suspension, hard ride.
Third Trike An ICE Adventure
Easy access to bike trails
Stable and comfortable to ride - a joy to ride.
Easy to add electric assist
I have tested many "bicycle" lights - both forward and rear facing (red).
Here are the lights I have settled on.
Since I enjoy my trike year round I wanted I wanted to protect myself from the worst of weather, hot sun and rain.
VelTop My First Top
Ships from France, good top but did not hold up very well in the hot sun of California.
Did not fit well I had to manufacture an extension to the rear mount to raise the rear portion of the top high enough to allow my head not to rub agains the top.
Velcro used fo connecting to many location dried up and failed within the first year. Fabric developed cracks in the portion the top that folds over the edges in the front.
A top to consider.
My Favorite Trailer
Travoy Trailer, Is my preferred trailer because it tows better than a trailer that connects tot he rear axel.
Bigger loads trailer
Wiki Trailer will handle 125 pounds and add shapes.
The drawback is that you best maneuver carefully through narrow spots.
I know each of these business's and the people who work there, so leverage my relationship and be sure when you visit or call to mention you were sent by me.
Thanks Dale Maxwell
